Positive Negotiation

Positive Negotiation is a 4-day training course intended for individuals who are responsible for important negotiations, regardless of how often. As a participant, you will learn how to conduct quality negotiations, while at the same time strengthening your relationship with your counterpart. We may even recommend that you and your counterpart take the course together.

Light will be shed on the complex and subtle aspects of the negotiating situation. One key approach is that of strengthening relationships with counterparts in the long term as well, so that agreements do not result in one-off deals. The goal is to achieve recurring "win-win" solutions that are beneficial to participant.

Course contents
  • Negotiating styles (preliminary work)
  • Negotiating phases and styles
  • Analysis of needs and values
  • Choice of negotiating tactics

During the course you will get to practice for a variety of negotiating situations, while at the same time acquiring new knowledge and skills in the art of negotiation. The participants get intensive practice, depending on their individual needs.

Scope

The course comprises four active days, with evening work.

There is a maximum of 8 participants per consultant. The course requires overnight stays by the participants (but can be offered on a daytime basis, if so desired).
